 Hi to all

I would like to put to bed this issue of day and dates as I would like to
start advertising the LAF debates on the PFA list (abt 300 recipients), the
PSE list (80+), my own groupies (confidential!) and at the French Institute
where I moderate a debate every other Saturday morning. This is the time of
the year to advertise new series. A good blurb shud bring enough bodies to
fill in the room at FP every other Sat pm, as discussed. I know it's unfair
to Steve, but unless someone comes up with a better alternative that will be
fair to all, I'm afraid we're going to be discussing this issue of dates and
venues until the advent of the fourth messiah.

So again, subject to a better idea agreed to by next week, can we schedule
debates at FP on
3rd and 17th September,

1st, 15th and 29th Oct.,

12th and 26th Nov.,

10th Dec.

please?

By yr end, it will again be an appropriate time to change day/venue if new
consensus is arrived at.

Justin, do you want to present yr paper on "ideologies and political
typologies" on 3rd Sept ?

Any idea for speaker/topic for 17th Sept?

I think I hv somebody who could do 1 oct.

I am all in favour of boozy "social" gatherings at any time, but please
let's keep the speakers/talks to our regular Sats meetings (or whatever day
is chosen) or we'll run out of speakers and confuse list members.

Pse let me hv yr flak/comment/approval/alternatives asap so we can start
advertising the events and dates.

 Christian
