  I think we can agree the party was a success and a good time was had by all
  thanks to everyone who turnexd up (11 in the end inc a number not on this list
  but no one apart from Donald and Paul Lloyd frm FP(Paul is a sub who used to help stuff freedom many years ago he also used yto come to the LAF sometimes when it was at Conway Hall)
   
  Future Events
  Steve is going to try to speak to Justin today (Monday) with a view  to seeing if we can 
  get him to do his postponed talk perhaps in Jan
   
  Adrian is also willing to do his talk on Peak oil which never really happened because of the low attendence
  Ian
  I have been unable to look at that Ind Womens Link due to tec problems
  are they saying JG is guilty?

I stand by him as an Indg  person percecuted by the state
  Indg  people are percecuted everywhere and anarchist should support them on principle
  (this does not mean we take a sentimentalattitude to their way of life or would wish to adopt it- I certainly would not)   but  the poiny is to avoid to Euro centric obsession of both the left and right
  a lot of lefty types do not take up such causes or in the manner of the cp/SWP
  they take it up and drop it when something  else comes along
   
  Also if the Gov concerned is supposed to be "left wing"  which usually means just anti american or anti Israel they tend to ignore what they are doing  in this and other areas
  sometimes lefty groups support policies that are in direct conflict with Indg rights because 
  the interest of organised labour may be seen to be in conflict with  people who dont want mining loging or developments which the left support( under state rather than private owershp
  even though more often this does not improve the lot of the workers in terms of wages etc)
   
  On the Subject of Ind peoples one of the reasons for  opposeing nuclear power which is often overlooked is thde implecations  for land rights of ind  peoples.  I am quite sure ther are horror
  stories from Russia, and |China for example that should be wriiten about
   
  Perhaps the left and indig peoples should form the basis for a future LAF Symp
   
  Anyway this post is far too long 
  so I will sign off wishing everyone a happy whatever it is you are into  at this time of year
