Thanks Ian
It would be helpful if the load could be shared its supposedto be a collective
and I always regarded my position as nominal and was delighted for example when steve agot hold of Uri Gordon and I Just had to  arrange things with Housmans

I am quite happy to do my bit for publicity - outside the list
anyone can post to the list

Yes the Curry Hous meets have become de facto  LAF meeets albeit rather small

Hope you can make one of our proper meetings soon and even drop into the Curry House if you are in London for something else

I agree with your idea of anarchism- by pure anarchism I meen rejecting and reformist measure or support of the law even when this is done without any illusions
or support albeit critical ansd contingent for any non anarchist  grup in somewhere like Palistine for example, and the big ones like crime and free  speech  which
my impression is does involve a "pure" anarchist " position such as opposition to anti hate speech laws or anti porn laws

Cheers
Ed

I don't know what a "pure anarchist" position is.

a libertarian-socialist.

Since the LAF is basically a talking shop it seems there is a natural tendency
for it to tend towards philosophical issues so perhaps it doesn't matter
what we are pragmatically:-)

My anarchism basically manifests in pragmatic terms as a preferred way of
working and organising, ie not asking authorities for permission to do things,
making decisions by consensus etc. Things like Critical Mass, the G8 Bike Ride
to Gleneagles that I was involved in, the Camp for Climate Action etc.

You have been doing more than your share for a long time anyway and it would be
good if the load could be more evenly spread. I already manage this list and
Steve set up a Facebook group (Steve made me an admin too, though I haven't
actually done anything on it yet).

I would offer to do more but I don't live in London. It seems like the
curry nights have become an important part of keeping the group together but
because of the ridiculous cost of train travel I very rarely manage to get to
them.

Ian
