[LAF] A responce to Ed's responce on the 'Green Revolution'

Yes, I agree the material should be distributed, in fact I also distributed it myself, but I also think there needs to be debate on the issues.

I don't know anyone in the CWP but I do know they work closely with members of Workers Liberty who have also supported MKO (Iranian Communists in Iraq) who worked as goons and assassins for Saddam. I'm not taking sides on that I'm merely flagging it. Its a well known fact that just as American Intelligence did deals with Saddam, they now deal with MKO to organise insurgency operations in Iran. While I would like to see the Iranian Republic overthrown by the people of Iran I dont want to see a Saddam like regime installed there in its place. The authoritarian left is a far bigger threat to libertarian socialism than the right (authoritarian or libertarian) is in my opinion and I wouldn't want to associate with either of them.

The public announcements of the Liberal West have no relation to their actual operations, this is something we have to become acustomed to in Obama world, at least the Neo-Cons were more open, but neither is better. Though I don't reject the alternative thesis that the Military Industrial Complex is out of control and Obama irrelevent.

Though its very clear that the election wasn't rigged (the sad reality is that the majority were stupidly happy with their tyrants), the disinfo that it was is part of a clever ploy to create the demos (this is evidenced by the phoney twitter campaigns and media reports declaring the opponent the expected winner, when all serious research suggested the incumbant would alas 'legitimately' win by a landslide, such are the follies of democracy). Thus calls for a recount are in fact part of the operation.

Yes, I'm aware that both the Shah and the Iranian Revolution was Western sponsored thats public knowledge, but since they became a serious threat to Israel that policy has been reversed and now America covertly backs 'moderate Mullahs', Monarchists, Liberals and coopted Communist groups in order to create 'regime change'. They are more sophisticated than to back one scenario, so have formed a 'Green Revolution' alliance (provably CIA backed and funded) in order to distabilize the regime and lead to one large faction or another taking control, they don't care which as they influence all of them, and know libertarian socialists or radical communists have little chance of influencing events, they will always be hijacked under existing conditions just as they were in the Iranian Revolution.
Therefore it makes sense that anyone wanting a genuine grassroots insurrection expose false 'political' ones as part of that insurrection.

The blurb came from http://www.iranunited.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8974 but theres masses of this info online from a variety of political factions both left and right (which makes it more convincing than one sided propaganda in my opinion). BTW if you ever want to find info origins on the web the best way is to do is take a whole sentence and use Google to search for it.

My own position is to support authentic anarchist revolution and not form any alliances with the right or the authoritarian left under any circumstances, this may not seem like a politically expedient stratergy to the 'politicals' but it is the only truely revolutionary strategy
and I have no time for 'politics' just real change.

As for tunnel vision, I agree there are too many dogmatic Leftist, Workerist, Lifestylist and general naive idiots within Anarchism, but this does not mean we have to give up the movement to them, nor does it mean that elements of lifestyle change, leftism (even Libertarian Marxism!) and direct action are not part of the solution, as they are and real change cannot occur without these elements as well as many others.
