<P class=EC_MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-GB><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>I know I would say this about most of the films Haringey Independent Cinema show, but this is a film not to be missed. It’s unlikely it will be shown anywhere again and it tackles a thorny question for many of us. Whether you believe in armed struggle or you are totally against it, this documentary raised a number of questions and the people involved try to answer these and their own concerns over their actions – with some surprising answers.</FONT></SPAN></P>
<P class=EC_MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-GB><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3> </FONT></SPAN></P>
<P class=EC_MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-GB><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>With footage from actual events from the late 60’s and early 70’s, the film looks at why white middle class Americans decided to take actions into their own hands. Call them Freedom Fighters; Terrorists or Outlaws, what they did took a lot of guts, even if you don’t agree with them.</FONT></SPAN></P>
<P class=EC_MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-GB><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3> </FONT></SPAN></P>
<P class=EC_MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-GB><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>When I watched the film it answered a load of questions I had, but also left me thinking of lots of others – questions I spent ages thinking about and starting up conversations with people about. After all – isn’t that what films should do and that’s one of the main reason Haringey Independent Cinema exists?</FONT></SPAN></P>
<P class=EC_MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-GB><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3> </FONT></SPAN></P>
<P class=EC_MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-GB><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>There will be a handout and introduction to the film by a local historian and then a good number of us will retire to the pub opposite (KK McCools) to argue/discuss the pros and cons of the film; the tactics that were used; and to meet others who have a similar interest in film. We see the pub as an important part of the night. It gives you a chance to discuss the films we show with other people and generally to get to know other people who live/work near you/us. Why not add an extra hour onto your night and join us for a little while longer?</FONT></SPAN></P>
