you are not that far away from the truth with your guess atw, at least
when it comes to some of Adornos admirers...
but seriously he was no god, but a jewish-german interlectual and
communist working within the Frankfurter School of Social Sience from the
1920s.
after exile and return to west-germany in the late 40s he became one of
the most influential philosophers of post war germany. He is the only one
who is beating post-moderns, though he died in 1969 long before they
arrived...
