er... actually some more replies received for petition of paints, 
tables, chairs, etc (to FreeCycle Sheffield)

1. Philips CDD3615 external CD-writer + manual/software. Warning:
drivers only for Win95/NT (could canibalise and fit internally on PC
with other operating systems)

2. HP Laserjet 5L printer. This printer is unfortunately famous for
misfeeding but apparently HP offers a small pad free of charge which
cures this.

3. Epson LQ550 dot matrix printer. 24pin with tractor feed (also
single sheet feeder). Little used but dusty / scruffy looking. Very
reliable & cheap to run, though as with all dot matrix printers, a bit
noisy. Current version (LQ590) costs > £250.
