*Networking opportunity for Sheffield-based artists: Midwest Trip *
*SCAF is currently assisting Midwest <http://www.midwest.org.uk>
co-ordinate a research/networking trip to Sheffield and Leeds during the
weekend of 11 & 12 March. *

In brief, the aims of the trip are to introduce 10 West Midlands-based
artists to artists, curators, artist-led projects and the visual arts
infrastructure in Sheffield and Leeds through presentations and informal
meetings. The idea will be to investigate and discuss ways that
Sheffield and Leeds-based artists, curators and cultural practitioners
have developed strategies and realised projects to develop a dialogue
through a city, region and across regional boundaries.

The West Midland-based artists will be introduced to art spaces and
projects in Sheffield on Saturday morning, then will convene at Site
Gallery Studio from 1.00 – 5pm for brief presentations from SCAF,
Midwest, up to 5 West Midlands-based artist-led projects and 5
Sheffield-based artist-led projects.

*Up to 10 places are available for Sheffield-based artists* to join the
afternoon session and to join the trip as it moves on to Leeds. SCAF can
support accommodation costs for up to 10 artists to stay over in Leeds
and participate in the programme on the Sunday.
