TWINNING WITH PALESTINE - Building Bridges not Walls

The Twinning with Palestine London Conference will be held at The London Irish Centre.

We welcome the participation of all groups and individuals to help build a bigger and stronger movement for justice for Palestine
Sunday 26th November, 11.00am - 5.00pm

National Conference - Receiving delegations from across the West Bank The Palestinian people have been living under the most brutal form of military occupation. Governments around the world have done nothing to halt this injustice. Ordinary people when given the chance to show their solidarity with Palestine have shown there is a massive potential to do differently. 

Twinning with Palestine has built friendships between people in Britain and Palestine from which practical and political solidarity has been delivered.

More than 40 twinning campaigns are already active across the UK and new groups are forming all the time. This conference seeks to pull together activists from across Britain and Palestine to share experiences and discuss how to broaden twinning. Many groups here have invited delegates from their twinning partners to spend a week in their towns and cities to give people the opportunity to hear what life is like living under occupation and to build a stronger campaign. This conference will be your opportunity to see how twinning works to enhance all progressive movements for Palestine.

The London Irish Centre is based in a quiet square in Camden Town, close to Central London.

Getting there
****It is outside of the Congestion Charge Zone****
Disabled Access
The main entrance to the building provides an adjoining Disabled Persons Lift to bring any person requiring assistance to the level of the McNamara Suite, Library Room, Foyer Room, Hibernian Bar and toilets.
Public Transport
Nearest Tube/Underground Station is Camden Town on the Northern Line - It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the station.
If you are coming from elsewhere we suggest you plan your journey using the Public Transport Journey Planner (click here).
If you are arriving at Euston Station take the 253 bus towards Hackney / Narroway Central and get off at Rochester Road. Walk from there to the centre.
Bus Routes 29, 253, 274, 31 all stop along the main road, Camden Road - It is about
a 3 minute walk from the bus stop, turning into Murray Street from the main road.
Parking Facilities
Car Parking is free after 6.30pm Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays, otherwise Metered street parking is available.
