M,

I would like to come over help give some tender loving care to Matilda. I would be interested in assisting setting up the hack-lab and just generally being aware of what is involved in this. I don't mind spending Monday (I'll have the whole day free) before the meeting doing any kinds of odd jobs. I'd like to think about giving the rooms we will be using a lot a lick of paint. Is someone still doing the mole Mural? I popped into the Common Place on my way back from Scotland last week (as I went home with the Leeds crew) and was taken aback by how cool it looks in there- they have some great colour schemes going on, but how sad to hear that they've been temporarily closed down due to some fool who went to one of their nights complaining to the health and saftey people... We have to be consicous of this kind of thing happening at Matilda I guess.

So yes, colour. Colour and food. I wouldn't mind helping with some food for the meeting as well (let me know if anything in particular is needed for this). Basically just tell me when someone will be around to let me in and I'll be there.

According to what I got down at the last meeting; these are the top eight uses of space (ones which got the most ticks) in no particular order:

Cafe (let's decide how oft and when this should be open on Monday)

Group Meetings (what would we do without em?)

Book / info Exchange (combined with cafe, anybody interested in assisting here please get in touch)

Parties (not necessarily aim for one a week, just lets get in really good, innovative and exciting gigs please and lets follow the example we have already shown with the Infernal Noise Brigade and the Trolly'd soundsystem.)

Clown Space (everybody wants to be a clown at the moment, and judging by their success at the G8, rightly so. But why not have a Mole space. Or a some-completely-as-yet-unenvisoned-creative-performance-based-activist-group-which-will-put-sheffield-on-the-activist-map space ?

Art Studio (inc. communal drop in one)

Storage / Office Space

Exhibition Space (ground floor, with cafe, can just imagine it now... very cosy)

So yes, let's get to it. No spiralling into circular discussions on power structures in this meeting- just steps towards practical action, yes? Are there a few minds who have a clear agenda idea, or who want to spend an hour over a coffee discussing an agenda...
