<P><U>Feedback from Collectives </U></P>
<DIV></DIV><STRONG>Cafe</STRONG> - want to open a seperate bank account - they will contribute profits to MATILDA, but need a stash of money for buying stock.

<P>-Can anyone fit gas cookers? Properley ie corgi registered? </P>
<P><STRONG>Gig Space Collective - </STRONG>painting going well - but they need wood for building a stage</P>
<P><U>Party Feedback</U></P>
<P>Excellent party - loads of people had a great time. lots of genrous donations towards no borders.</P>
<P>BUT - were we well organised or were we lucky that there wasn't any trouble?!?</P>
<P><STRONG>Concerns Raised</STRONG></P>
<P>Not enough peoplerostered for on the door - we had 2 on the timetable - needed at least 4. People were doing security, but this wasn't rostered for at all, so these people didn't get breaks and were doing work they may not have been prepared for. Also should have had people patrolling the building and had more people rostered for the refreshement area.</P>
<P>we needed a way for security / door/ bar to communicate ie radios</P>
<P>was the building fire safe? there were extinguishers but ?enough fire exits</P>
<P>toiloets were not signposted clearly enough. We didn't have enough info displayed on what MATILDA was (some people thought it was a party in a disused warehouse)</P>
<P>Fixed fee on door - this should only be a suggested donation</P>
<P>Need more toilets The stairs got overcrowded, but no-one fell down them - huraah. Do we nedd a hand rail - is there a way of stopping people congregating there - suggested having a quiet chill-out zone as there was no room without music</P>
<P>Door closed at 2 - this was good and probably prevented weird people coming in, but lots of folks wanted to go in and out to go for walks</P>
<P>POLICE - aaaaarrrggghh!!! They came to the door (didn't get in) and the sitution was diffused by 2 very talented people we're lucky to have. Many people expressed the fear that if we have that type of party regularly the police or council will shut us down, and the more parties we have the quicker this will happen</P>
<P>If we have a lot of parties this will also prevent the space being used for other things ie gigs, cinema, readings, and will use up a lot of the groups energy and time</P>

<DIV>What type of parties do we want to have? The reason changes the dynamic ie are they to raise money or for us to have fun. Should we advertise or just use word of mouth</DIV>

<DIV>Parties are a chance for us to showcase matilda, and use this opportunity to draw people in and get them involved. Should we put up notices what matilda is about on the back of toilet doors?</DIV>
<DIV>Suggestion for a HISTORY WALL - ie on wall of cafe, with fliers from all past events so people can get a feel of what we do.</DIV>

<DIV>Discssion re what type of events do we want here? Just those that are benefit nights or have a political edge, or non political things (which can be used politically anyway, ie for fundraising, or dong political fliering or having stalls at). Remember, non-political events bring in new people. And we need money!</DIV>
