<DIV>"This mailing list is definitely a pain in the arse sometimes. But
the<BR>list isn't everything that happens at Matilda - it's just
somewhere<BR>where the more long-winded of us thrash out our sometimes very
tedious<BR>arguments. <EM>Judging what Matilda achieves by these emails is a bit
like<BR>measuring the output of a factory by the conversations that go on
in<BR>the canteen</EM>."</DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>Beaurocrasy eh? Long winded arguments, wow you sound so Important
and Super Cool.</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>The content of conversation in a factory canteen is made by it's
workers. The output is produced by it's workers, they are directly related.
Unless of course you think the white collars count for something.</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>"</STRONG>Your remarks are a reminder that we waste too much energy
on silly<BR>inward-focused arguments<STRONG>"</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>Beaurocrasy again! A symptom of capitalism.</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>"</STRONG> If your political theory is in denial<BR>about the basic
ridiculousness of human beings<STRONG>"</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV>No it isnt. I feel we all have a sacred human presence but many of us don't
recognise it in others</DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>"</STRONG>If you had a lot of power, with the same<BR>attitude, it
would probably make you genocidal.<STRONG>"</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>I have enough power to change my immediate suroundings as does
everyone if only they knew they did. </STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>"</STRONG>2. What fantastic things are you doing to change the
world - except<BR>for criticizing everyone else for failing to change
it?<STRONG>"</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV>I speak out and propose solutions, some of these are already being
implemented. </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>

<DIV>"Your thinking reveals an us and you division. Why do you feel
so<BR>alienated? To me it seems like you are thinking of yourself as
a<BR>consumer and have expectations of us, the providers."</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>It isn't me that's labelling myself by belonging to a club, or
organisation. I'm just a survivor who is surviving. I chose my path and I am not
alienated, just extremely angry at the political, environmental and commercial
mess that is in our human-collective part of the life of this beautiful
planet. It just seems to someone on the outside looking in that clowns,
parties, beaurocratic meetings and coffee making is not relevant and is not
taken seriously by the 200 people who do have real power to change things. I
can't put my acheivements on a public mailing list but I have done some and made
some changes for the better and influenced the way that some people with more
power than I have are doing things. </DIV>
<DIV>The best thing anyone young enough with a concience can do is to do what I
said: do a politics degree and go into the heart of Mordor and chuck the bloody
ring down the mountain.</DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I haven't had the time as a single mum with kids at
school to come from outside Sheffield to Matilda, I was thinking of doing you
all a mural as I have done a few before and am quite nifty at it but I may as
well go and do one at the old folks home.</FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
