Hey guys,
I wont make it to the meeting, so I thought Id pop my 2 cents in now.
Take or leave as required. I hope the meeting goes well.
I currently sit on VCG(E) and carbon neutral stakeholders.
I will be at uni until the middle of next year. Im happy to stay on both
those committees.
Ideas:
In terms of format, I think the student committee should sort of mirror
the VCG(E) in that it involves student reps from all the other
sub-committees.
We collaborate four times a year after the round of all other
committees, report back with particular reference to things that we
think are of importance. Raise areas of concern/excitement/future work
etc that the student can then take back to the next relevant
sub-committee meeting. And also perhaps lead to ideas/campaigns that we
want to follow up on.
Because of relatively high turn around of students, even though its
extra work, it would be good to keep a record of all the minutes of
sub-committee meetings, and to make our own minutes (doesnt have to be
long). That way, new students coming on board could look through the
history of the committees. Being at committee meetings is intimidating
enough, its worse when you dont know what has been going on.
Thanks!
have fun
Lana
