Hi Terry,

Lots happening in the garden at present. Attached are:
* Sign outline
* Related logos
* Examples of pyrography (wood-scorching)

After *much* deliberation, we'd like a sign with a large waterproof
*glass-fronted
cabinet* (to fit at least 2 x A2). This will allow us to keep information
up to date & sufficiently detailed with changing seasons, map, crops,
contacts, events, etc. It could also allow us to display dried flowers,
seeds, etc.
A *whiteboard* space on the back would be very useful.

We think the following specs would work well (see attached outline):
- 130cm x 80cm
- 105cm x 65cm glass fronted cabinet, ~5cm deep, aligned bottom left

We'd also like to have *3 smaller metal signs*, A-frame sized, to stake in
at the key entrance points. We envisage they would simply have 'Monash
Permaculture Garden' on them, perhaps with a small whiteboard/blackboard
space for advertising weekly meeting time (may change with timetables each
semester). Their material could come from December Cleanup filing
cabinets.  Happy to chase.

*Sign material:*
Wherever possible, we would like the sign to incorporate
*reclaimed/recycled/sustainably
produced materials.*

- Ideally,* wood.* e.g. currently procuring cypress for bed edging from
tree loppers.
*Natural look & permanence ties in with the garden's sustainability
message. We'd like to get 'Monash Permaculture Garden' scorched into* *the
timber (pyrography, see pdf). The other information could be scorched or
attached as plaques.*
*Would require a cork inlay in the glass cabinet*.

- Or, *sheet metal* from an old sign or December Cleanup furniture (e.g.
book case)
*While less aesthetically in keeping with the garden, a metal sign could
meet sustainability *criteria & also allow the use of magnets in the cabinet
area.

*Artwork, graphics, logos:*
Our 'Monash Permaculture Garden' logo is not currently finalised. We wish
to incorporate the 'MPG' logo (see pdf), but haven't yet found a suitable
font or elaborated the design. We would ideally like to have the cabinet &
sign backing prepared in advance of finishing with pyrography (see
attached), or we can send a digital logo for printing.

-Alternately, we could commission a Monash Permaculture Garden pyrography
plaque to be delivered and attached to the metal/wood sign at a later date.

Many thanks for your help, and patience, on this one.

Regards,

Tim
