Hi everyone,
Plenty of good pickings in the garden at the moment. And now a Wormie Bin
to compost scraps & feed the plants! -check out the manual in the purple
folder for instructions/hints, and try not to feed it tooooooo much, the
worms are still reproducing up to capacity.
There's also a mini greenhouse under construction!
This email's basically to encourage everyone to start using this list to
tell each other when they're going down to harvest, weed, hang out, read,
build.... scheme, socialise and enjoy! And to encourage some
knowledge-sharing about what's in season, what needs planting, how to cook
with _______, which garden plant makes a great tea, and how to avoid putting
the garden fork through all the potatoes. So get chattin!
TJ
p.s. In case you don't already know, Uni Grounds staff have asked us to
collect photos of appropriate signage & fencing to be funded by the Uni so
the whole plot's a little more permanent. May be worth having a
get-together to figure out what we want on the sign to explain what the
garden's about, and its story so far!
p.p.s. The original proposal which got us the garden space is attached.
Put together by Mark & Kristy (2004), revised by Nils & Tessa in 2007.
