Hi Everyone,

I'm aware you all probably have *heaps* on your plates at the moment, but in
case you haven't seen this, a callout's gone over ASEN food coops worms n
compost eList re. content/discussions for SoS 2010. It's below...
I also recommend that you jump on the eList by sending an email
here<Co_ops_Worms_n_Compost_ASEN_WG-subscribe at yahoogroups.com>.

Hello darlings!

Haw haw, hope you've all been having a deelightful year. :)

Well, SoS has come out of nowhere and it's time to start planning!

Has anyone started thinking about chats for the working group meeting?
It's on around 2pm on Wednesday 9 July. Please let me or Kathryn (
kathryn at ...<http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Co_ops_Worms_n_Compost_ASEN_WG/post?postID=C1618xMBbCNBBLW0m_la_mnijh1Lal8laSoGuxZOt9bbdVs5cTwNAYiv10KbrMJPEFdby7NNEQDTUmNsi_k>)
know if you are able to help pull together the
agenda and/or facilitate.

I guess the agenda could include
- report backs from coops, successes, struggles, happiness, community love
- update on the wiki and resource sharing
- plans for the rest of the year
- (cross coop networking/socialising?) :D

I'm not sure, please post ideas!!

I'd also like to start talking about food campaigning generally. eg,
GM crops being planted in NSW and Vic now! Gettin info out about
agriculture and climate change; about agricamps and poverty; about
soil degradation, pollution, fishery collapse, etc etc etc.

There are plans for an open space strategy session:
(from Ange)
A forum called "Booting GE out of Australia" is already on the program
10:45 to 12:15 on Sunday 6th July. I am planning to have an open space
to discuss and plan campaigns and actions that could occur on
university campuses, particularly in Sydney. I plan for the open space
to be on Monday 7th of July at 3pm.

I encourage some of us at least to go to this, and we could report
back to working group on Wednesday?

Does the food coop working group have capacity to campaign more
conventionally? Would it weaken and disperse energy or could it make
us stronger? Or is it outside the scope of the working group?

So yes, don't be afraid to post glorious ideas! Would be good to have
a quick bit of energetic email dialogue before the conference.

Hurrahs.

Love,
Tessa xx
