Hi Tim
We are p[art of Permaculture Melbourne (see
www.permaculturemelbourne.org.au). We have a yahoo group
(permaculturesoutheast at yahoogroups.com).
You are most welcome to come to some of our activities/join us.
Basically, if you want to attend our activities you will need to
become a member of Perm. Melb. (Your group could become a group within
PCM but you can look at that down the track if your interested.)
The yahoo group is free, but an invitation to register is required
(Petra or Adrian will send you one).
We are all volunteer administrators (PcM is an incorp'd assoc'n). Many
of our members have PDCs.
In Feb., our main activity will be the Sustainable Living Festival. So
if you want to get involved, it's a good sarting place - meet lots of
the public interested in sustainability issues and what they can do.
Plans for the 2010 include a session with David Holmgren in July or
August. We would like to visit some properties in the Dandenong areas,
but it will have to wait till autumn when fire risks have subsided.
We haven't blitzes done for a few years, but want to get back into
it. We are also interested in "Transition Town" activities.
We decided to try to to have two sessions a month: one Sat evening
(2nd Sat of the month)(for discussions/films/etc) followed by a
daytime session the following weekend (probably Sundays) for outdoor
activities.
You can stay in contact on this email and/or tel 9578 7237.
We are having some garden tours next Friday 15.1.10 and saturday
16.1.10. I'll send you a separate copy of an email.
Another activity but not officially for PcM, is berry picking next
Thurs 14.1.10 at Sunny Creek which is between Yaragon and Trafalgar.
Great to have contact from you.
Miriam Baxt.
