Europe's role in the global refugee protection system. The Way Forward:
An agenda for change
ECRE proposes new European refugee agenda
ECRE has laid down a challenge and an invitation to European
policy-makers to take a new approach to refugees and asylum. This Agenda
for Change, based on a series of Way Forward papers published in 2005
was presented at the European Parliament on 26 April 2006. It calls on
European countries to put human rights and respect at the core of their
policies and start sharing responsibility for refugees.
