<P>I emailed yous about the connexions Black History event at the end of next week. Unfortunately I have not been contacted to be told whether/not anyone could attend. Based on the comments on this list it seems unlikely. </P>
<P>It was an event I could get you into, the kind of thing your political groups are highly unlikely to get invited to, others would see the opportunities involved and be scrambling to get on board. It would enable you to reach a whole layer of people who would not have and probably never would have come across your ideas before. An opportunity to reach an audience of young people with anti-racist sentiments who are here because of their own or families immigration at an event aimed at consciousness raisning. People from Black and Minority Ethnic groups are still overwhelmingly the target of unequal treatment via immigration authorities - all of this was the 'link' or 'way in' if it wasn't obvious.....a missed opportunity me thinks. </P>
