[pagan-magik] Network Parties

Another good place to network for those in London
would be the Circle Community at St George's Tufnell
Park. They still have a regular cabaret there every
Friday night and its free or donation to get in. Not
as spectacular as Synergy perhaps and not the 'cream
of community'(!?), but good authentic grassroots
stuff.

Ironically the guy who founded Synergy lives in their
backyard, coming from the same 'community', but the
relation between the two projects is complex. 'High
standards and controlled commercialism', with some
token politicism, vs 'grassroots chaos and emergent
order' with some authentic politics. Some of us were
quite sceptical about Synergy from the start, others
joined in and sought to work 'positively from within'
rather than 'negatively from without' (hence the kind
of work John Constable and others do there). Because
of this the criticism from some of us is now generally
muted :)

So, on a more positive note I'm all for introducing
the virus into the system, and Synergy is much better
than the Ministry of Sound.....
