That protocol was stated quite clearly in my original posts re: new procedures for admission with regard to the questioner. 
As their were no objections it was taken, in my humble opinion, as passed.
 
The only objection was from yourself and others regarding the whole process of whether the list should be completely open or not. Something we had already reached consensus on.
 
However you did request that the time period for objections or concerns to be raised be changed from 7 days to 24 hrs. I then suggested 48hrs as a compromise.
 
Others preferred seven days.
 
I assume that the moderators will use their common sense and allow a suitable period for members to review the questioner replies from those seeking admission and in the case of those requests for membership that are not straightforward.. such as we have seen recently. Will allow sufficient time for the group to consider the application.
 
Others will be straightforward and in this case 48hrs is adequate.
