<DIV>Victoria<BR><BR>Message:<BR>I hope you will forgive me circulating this but we in Assynt need the <BR>help<BR>of our many friends.<BR><BR>The Assynt Foundation is raising funds so that the community of <BR>Assynt can<BR>collectively purchase a 44,000 acre piece of land including the iconic<BR>mountains of Suilven, Canisp, Cul Mor and Cul Beag, the beautiful <BR>lochs of<BR>Veyatie, Cam, and parts of Assynt and Fionn lochs. It's a once in a <BR>life<BR>time opportunity. But we need help.<BR><BR>We are doing this under the new Land Reform Act in Scotland and the <BR>time<BR>scale and the price is fixed - we have to raise £3 million by the 3rd <BR>June.<BR>That is only five weeks away!<BR><BR>We have already raised nearly £2.5 million and are in negotiation <BR>with a<BR>number of potential funders to close the gap. But we now need to make <BR>that<BR>last extra effort. Every £1 will take us that step nearer and will<BR>demonstrate to the funders that we and our friends are doing
out bit <BR>to make<BR>this happen..<BR><BR>If you feel able to make a donation however modest that would be <BR>great.<BR>Every donation will be acknowledged.
