Kaarina wrote on our message board:
/"I was shopping in Sainsbury's the other day and they were selling
activity books for boys and girls. The boys book was full of interesting
adventures plus of course fighting and hero quests etc. The girls book
was boring in the extreme (At least to me!) Playing housey, picnics,
dolls, beauty stuff, bikini's and sunbathing, so called girly chatter! I
was appalled and wondered if you knew where I should complain about this
blatant sexism. We are going backwards I think! The books come from
http://www.mombooks.com/busterbooks even the title of that is sexist in
its implication."/ Link to thread

I replied:
"I don't know off hand without researching, but I will do what I can and
if we get as many women as possible to help, either by going into the
stores, questioning the staff and putting in complaints it would make a
start.
If you are on any other message boards, forums or networking sites,
perhaps you could spread this information and ask them to take action and
if you have any useful information, contacts or ideas please share them
with us and anyone else you are in contact with.
