hello there,

will write something quickly about one point in case i cant check emails
till the weekend ..

i was talking to a friend(her name is saradadevii and wants to join the
group/email list but im not sure if she will till the weekend) and she
pointed at an issue we talked at the first meeting, the word
"childcare"  and its implications, in short  where the kids are not
part of the meetings/actions/"important" things goin on but instead
being cared for somewhere else.. i was hoping saradadevii will raise
the subject but as i said she might not join till the weekend and i
though its relevant with gemma's concern about not discussing what we
meant with "radical childcare"

now im not suggesting to have a discussion about what the name should
be ext (not via email and definitely not when someone is trying to put
a statement together) as far as i remember the call out did say something
about "including the children" but i couldnt find it to have a proper look
so if its already there thats fine, i just thought that aspect will need a
bit more emphasis as the name of the group can suggest otherwise...what do
people think?

hi guys,

im working on the statement, but wont have it finished tonight (my brain
seems to be bursting with overload today, unless im just coming down with
'the swine'...), its in rough draft: basically i'm amalgamating (ooh wierd
word alert) the original radical collective callout email with some
relevant paragraphs taken from the 'Raise Some Hell!' feminist
childrearing zine, and also adding a bit more relevant to the
environemtnal movement and cc itself.

its a bit annoying that we havent actually fully discussed what 'radical
childcare' actually means to us already! but no matter, i know we are not
all anarchist/socialist/etc but i am assuming that we all are happy with
terming ourselves as 'anti-capitalist' people?

anyway, i will work on it toomooroow morning and hope to email it to the
list asap during tomorrow, to give enough time for all us wonderfully
anti-capitalistic people to edit it before the weekend.
