*WILDCAT ARTS COLLECTIVE
EASTER/APRIL 1ST SPECIAL
*MONTY PYTHON & THE HOLY GRAIL
1974, UK, 91MINS. Directors: Terry Gilliam/Terry Jones.
"Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!"
As a special Easter/April Fools Day treat for older kids, parents &
carers, we will be screening the quite funny Monty Python & The Holy
Grail. This is a film about dismembered swordsmen, anarcho-syndicalist
peasants, knights who say "Ni!" and cuddly Easter bunnies
The mock-Arthurian story-line provides for an endless stream of jokes and
the authentic-looking production design is relentlessly and gloriously
dirty. A miniscule budget (largely provided by Pink Floyd and Led
Zeppelin) turns out to be one of the film's greatest assets: Can't afford
horses? Use coconuts instead. No money for special effects? Let Terry
Gilliam animate. This is the second best comedy film ever made so don't
miss this chance to see it in all it's glorious silliness on a big screen.
*As there is the odd mild sexual reference, a little light swearing and
violentish scenes of a cartoon nature ("it's just a flesh wound"), we are
recommending that you should be 12 plus to attend this screening (but it's
really up to parents/carers to make that call).
THURSDAY APRIL 1ST
WEST GREEN LEARNING CENTRE
WEST GREEN ROAD
LONDON N15 3RB DOORS OPEN 6PM ADMISSION £1.00
*The Wildcat Arts Collective organises cultural/arts events including:
magic, comedy, music, poetry, dance, drama and film. Sometimes
challenging, sometimes thought provoking, but usually fun, these events
are aimed at children (Kids Collective), younger teenagers (12-PLUS),
parents/carers and are affordable and inclusive.
We are open to new ideas and projects and like to make links with other
community groups. For further information call: 07966096482
