Hello!

Below info about new issue of anarchafeminist zine geared towards the
non-parents in our midst, and thoughts on radical inclusive organising.
Also call out for new submissions, as the past issues of ths zine (plus
the new pieces) will be now made into a book (deadline March 2011).

CRAP! Collective have written a piece describing some experiences so far
on organising within the collective/community, within the new issue 4.

See our blog for past issues of zine: www.feministchildrearing.blogspot.com

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Attached as 2 pdfs is the latest issue of Don't Leave Your Friends Behind!
The cover can be printed in colour (if you have access to colour
printing/copying). The rest of the zine (as a separate pdf) is in black
and white.
Feel free to print, copy and share these with anyone and everyone!
Don't Leave Your Friends Behind #4 also has a wonderful centerfold about
this year's Allied Media Conference and the radical childcare report from
the US Social Forum in Detroit. Because the pictures make that part of the
zine too big to attach here, I've compressed it via yousendit and you can
download it for yourself here:
The link ends in a week. If you need it sent to you again, please let
Vikki know (email below)!
And finally, we are turning Don't Leave Your Friends Behind into a book!
We will be including the pieces from the zine series, but are, of course,
also looking for other perspectives and experiences. The call for
submissions is below. Our deadline is March 15, 2011!
Call for Submissions
Don't Leave Your Friends Behind is a book geared toward the non-parent
radical community about how to be an ally to the parent(s) in their midst.
We're looking for activists, allies, & radical parents to help make this
the best book ever for getting down to business: Let's make a better world
WITHOUT leaving out the mamas, papas, partners, child-care providers &
children this time!
We want to know how you support children & their caretakers in your
collectives, organizations or communities.
Parents: What concrete things can those around you do to support you and
your family? Send us your list of suggestions!
Radical Childcare Collectives: How do you organize childcare?
We are especially interested in experiences that also take into account
factors such as race, class, gender, single parenthood, immigration,
disability, and/or mental health issues.
Word limit: One sentence suggestions to 5.000 word essays.
Contact us with questions and submissions!
