Hi, <div><br></div><div>I found your email thru a Google search of "radical child care collective models" and was wondering if you had any info about resources or models in the US specifically. I live in Virginia and I'm looking to start a child care collective with other young mothers. I'm expecting my first child in Dec. and have NO IDEA what to expect or how this would work out, but I am seeking out others who may have started something similar and what their experiences have been. Ideally, I am thinking about getting about 5 or 6 or more mothers/fathers together and creating a schedule each week that would allow for each person in the collective to watch the children a few days a week or even just one. If this works, then there would always be a person watching the kids through out the week and allow the rest of us to be at work. It would require some schedule juggling for sure, but I am really seeking something more radical than the typical daycare

I am also a radical activist, very involved with the Climate Convergences in the US as well as Mountain Justice and would love to incorporate more child care and child friendly spaces into our organizing and even have workshops available to parents or activities for kids at gatherings/events. Any info on this would be great too!</div>
