Hi all,
and apologies for the late digest of events at The Space Project, Leeds.
It's been a busy couple of months but it all seems quiet this week
with just a couple of booked in upcoming events in December.
Thursday 15th there is an open discussion on "Social Cuts and Class:
Are we really All in This Together?" Exploring the renewed political
focus on meritocracy, the interplay of class and cuts, and what role
gender and disability have within this. This is at 18.30 and some
suggested readings are up on the event listing for people to catch up
on the topic beforehand.
Tuesday 20th, at 19.30 is the last Militant Cinema of the year, "The
Working Class Go to Heaven" who's politics and life are completely
overhauled when he loses a finger at work and becomes radicalised.

We're expecting a snowstorm of events to hail down come the New Year
and we know there's an antifascist films and events weekend in the
pipeline amongst other meetings, seminars, talks and showings. We hope
to finally host the Greek event that was cancelled earlier, and
there's a couple of thrilling series' unfolding: an economics course
is in the pipeline, as well as history series 2 focusing on Luddites
and interlocking with discussions and more on housing issues.
