Dear all,
It's totally Springtime and it's all about the birth of New Beginnings
and the green shoots of resistance sprouting up through this home we
call Leeds....

and what better way to begin it than the New Weapons Reading Group?
Tonight, at 7.30pm it is the FINAL reading group and will be focusing
on Resistance, Movement and Struggle. How do we resist? How do we gain
class power? What strategies and methods of struggle are appropriate
in our political context? As usual, check the website for the reading
list!
http://www.spaceproject.org.uk/library/qnew-weaponsq.html

Launching straight into Saturday we are delighted to present the
booklaunch of "Occupy Everything: Reflections on why it's Kicking Off
Everywhere". We have several of the Leeds contributors giving brief
talks on their articles, followed by delightful chat, music and drinks
as well as your chance to buy your copy. We don't think you can get it
anywhere else in Leeds yet....so see you there at 8.00pm on 17th
March.

Sunday is not a day of rest, for we have Coal Action Scotland dropping
in on their UK tour to mobilise against Scottish Coal's opencast
mining plans at 7pm.

And on Monday 19th we have visitors from even further away talking to
us about Revolt and Crisis in Greece when the anarchist collective
"Occupied London" come to inspire us and discuss resistance in Greece
and beyond as part of our Economics Course. It's not about the money,
it's about the struggle....

Jumping right ahead or a peek at the final week we have Reality Based
Self Defence training on the Sunday, booking only, see Events for
details.

On the 27th we invite you all to be part of our closing meeting and
party; a chance to reflect on what the Space Project was, our role in
urban struggle, and what we all may next become. A final email will be
sent out nearer the time outlining this in more detail. After the
meeting we'll hold a party to bury the old and embrace the new.

The 29th is our last ever event at this particular location, and will
be a critical look at the August riots, brought to us by Bristol
Radical History Group, with a film "Rebellion in Tottenham" at 7pm.

and as if this wasn't enough to make your spirits sing, the bike that
was stolen has been recovered!

Now, go enjoy a beer in the sunshine and we'll see you in in Mabgate
Green this week
