This is where we are up to with the stalls loan - not looking good.
Any tips on how to respond / updates on security?

One of the problems is the time that you are going on until and therefore
the time that our that staff would need to be on site to take them down
which seems to be late.( I was informed of one event that finished quite
late last year and it may indeed have been yours)

Our stall loan rates do not cover this type of circumstance and our
loaning of stall is not intended to facilitate you organising your event
from our resources it is intended to provide support to schools etc and
other organisations having afternoon fetes etc

Our loan of stalls is something we try to do to assist where circumstances
allow and we do assist with quite a lot of events however as with all "low
cost Council assistance schemes" it soon becomes expected and we have to
have a limit on what we provide.

I also have my concerns about the damage/loss that can be done to our
equipment when it is loaned out for events that are not our core business
and allow event organisers to have their event at the expense of our
equipment.

We have loaned equipment before for commercial rates and to ensure that we
can replace equipment in future it may be that this is where we need to
go.

I had already asked in my previous e mail as to who would be providing
security on Saturday night if stalls were taken down on Sunday but you
have not provided that information and if you look at it from our
viewpoint we are providing you with equipment that is worth around £10K
without knowing who you are or having any kind of financial assurance that
our equipment can be replaced if damaged or that the event is insured etc.

If you can satisfy these concerns then it may be possible for us to loan
you the equipment so please come back to me if you feel you can meet my
concerns.
