Hi Mary & Jane

I'm emailing you both to see if it's possible to find a time when someone
from the Mayday group and someone from baohsf.org can both talk on BCB
about events on 28th April, since there's obviously a massive overlap but
(for example) if I was to try and talk about Mayday I'd probably not be
able to do justice to International Workers' Memorial Day.

I think I can do any day next week, but there are other suitable
candidates: if we can agree on a time and a date then we'll see who's
available from the Mayday organisers.

Cheers

Hello

The 28th April is International Workers' Memorial Day and Bradford Area
Safety Reps Association would like it if we could work together as the
May
Day Parade is also on the 28th April this year in Bradford. I have
attached
our flyer FYI.

I am not sure what is planned for Bradford May Day but It would be great
if
the May Day procession with drummers arrived at the memorial just before
noon, in a somber downbeat way - a bit of a death march perhaps.

Our outline plan is to gather at 11.45 at the memorial garden around the
back of Bradford City Hall.
At 12 noon there will be a minutes silence after the bells chime (if
the
bells chime).
Carol Duerden or Andrew Mawson will say a few words about how red tape
saves
lives.
There will be a laying of wreaths, followed by a street performance.

Members of families who have lost loved ones or have been injured
because
of
their work will be invited.

The flags on City Hall will be lowered to half mast.

Please let me know how we can work together and if you can join in the
memorial?

In solidarity

Jane Howie
