Hey there trading folks. I'm looking forward to the swap meet at my house
here on Elm Street, next Tuesday the 16th! Hope that you can make it, and
we can have nice June swapping. If you drive here (it's about a 10 minute
walk from Greenstar), it would be best to park in the upper-most lot of the
West Village Apartments, then walk up through our woodsy backyard. Ask my
if you need more specific direction than that. We'll try to spend our time
outside here.

Below is the email I just sent out to the Dancing Turtle gardening friends
list, if you're interested. See lots of you soon, I hope!

Hi friends,

Lots of excitement from the Dancing Turtle Vegetable Garden - we've been
harvesting spinach, salad mixes, and braising mixes, along with some herbs,
collards, and radishes for market. And there may soon be enough peas to
bring along, too! The sprouts are being well-received, and as of tomorrow
we can sell fresh and dried tea! In less good news, there are two very cute
furry friends who spent a couple days in the garden and helped themselves to
over 100 heads of tender lettuce :-( But we found the hole (dug by either
groundhog or rabbit, and used by both), and peace has returned, for now.

We've planted most of the Bruce Hill Road "farm" location, in the gardens,
but there are two swaths of freshly-plowed land that we'll be getting beans,
squash, sunflowers, oats, corn, and herbs into. The mulberries are just
days away from being delicious and harvestable.

So here's what's going on - Wednesday looks like it should be a delightful
day, weather-wise. but Thursday, with a 40% chance of rain, is when my dad
is coming to help out. and saturday is going to be a fun harvesting
morning, with at least three folks out there. If you can come out on any of
these days, drop a line. there is now enough produce to offer some to
helpers, and better yet, there are tons of greenhouse starts that will
certainly need homes, even if all the beds get planted.

Happy rains, waning moon, and warm evenings :-)
Travis
