Hello Listserv Members,

Please share this announcement far and wide.  Please note the short
timeframe:

New Roots Charter School is searching for dynamic anti-poverty activists to
fill two Americorps Vista member openings beginning August 1.  New Roots was
awarded funding for members to further develop our academic and home-school
communication support networks due to the school's demographics and the
integrity of the program proposal.

The Academic Support VISTA member will work with staff to create a program
strengthen the school’s internal capacity to ensure the academic success of
each low income and at-risk student.

The goal for the Family Communication VISTA member is to strengthen
home-school communications and increase communication with community
organizations that serve families of low income and at-risk students.
