Freeskool Course (October 3,10,17)

WILLPOWER

In the book, Willpower, by a pioneering research psychologist and the New York Times science columnist, they say that the personal qualities that predict “positive outcomes” in life are two traits: intelligence and self-control. In these three sessions, in an interactive format, we’ll look at and discuss both the psychology and the interesting, and telling, research regarding willpower and, most important, how we might practice our self-control, this greatest of human strengths.
It will be a great course, a great experience. No readings required.

We will meet three Wednesdays, Oct. 3,10, & 17 at 6 PM at LifeLong Learning Ctr., 119 W, Court St. Parking available there as well as behind the building off of Buffalo St.
NOTE: I’ll be there at 5:45 PM. Please be settled in and ready to start at 6PM.

Offered by Monty Berman Adjunct Lecturer, Psychology SUNY Empire State College

Be ye lamps unto yourselves, be your own confidence.
Hold to the truth within yourselves as to the only lamp.
