“Listening: The Quiet Miracle”
Free, full-day workshop Saturday January 25, 2014
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Refreshments provided

If you’ve ever thought, “Hmmm…I wish I was a better listener,” or wished you could teach someone else how to listen to you, this day might be for you. We will be immersed in a full day of demonstrations and practices focused on all aspects of what it takes to be an extraordinary listener – as a skill, and more importantly as the art form and mindfulness.

You will see how it is possible to listen to anyone, at any time, in any situation, and under any circumstances – regardless of your own feelings, and no matter how you are being treated. With that result entirely achievable, we will also distinguish those times it makes sense to choose not to listen – to a spouse, child, boss, employee, customer, friend.

Contact Information: edwardlisbe at gmail.com, or daniel.lisbe at gmail.com.
Location: The workshop will be held in a home in Lansing (4 miles North on Rt. 34 from Ithaca Youth Bureau.) Space is limited, so we are not putting the address in this email because in order to control the numbers we need people to contact us, and not just come on Saturday. Sorry. Please use the above emails, or these phone numbers: Ed (606 327 3357) or Dan (607) 339 1473
Workshop Leaders:
Ed Lisbe, M.A., has led “people skills” workshops for over thirty years to managers of Fortune 1,000 companies, mental health professionals, educators, and parent groups throughout the United States. Locally, he designed and co-founded “The Listening Workshop.” (See www.listeningworkshop.com, for participant testimonies about the extraordinary results of the listening work.)

Dan Lisbe, M.A., a lifetime student of “listening,” brings to that practice a rich background and interest in philosophy. Having a passion for the education of young people, Dan has led workshops in schools using music (he is founder and lead singer of The Gunpoets band) to support kids to find and believe in their voice to be an important force for change in the world
