> On May 8th and 9th, dozens of local women will volunteer with TCHFH for Women Build Weekend.  For two days we’ll be working on starting construction of a Habitat home at 3937 Highland Road in Cortland, offering power tool and carpentry trainings, constructing a set of roof trusses, and building a custom-designed playhouse.  Volunteers of all abilities are welcome to attend.  We provide all of the tools and materials needed and promise you’ll walk away with a feeling of satisfaction from a day filled with training, building, camaraderie with other local women and maybe even some dirt beneath your fingernails.

> Registration includes a t-shirt, snacks and lunch, a special treat for Mom’s (it’s Mother’s Day Weekend, after all!) and helps us cover the cost of materials and building supplies.  In addition, we have a $25,000 fundraising goal for the event and invite all participants to create a peer-to-peer fundraising page and gather pledges to help us support construction of more simple, decent, affordable housing in our community.
