> Help us celebrate a new synergy between not-for-profit and for-profit businesses operated by women entrepreneurs. SewGreen, the sewing reuse store which is nearing seven years of not-for-profit presence in downtown Ithaca, has expanded and diversified. The Art and Found, a sustainable clothing store owned by Olivia Royale, is now sharing the space. In addition, SewGreen has opened a new reuse program called Art ReStart that accepts unwanted art supplies for reuse and resale. Large doorways connect all three spaces.
>
> The Art and Found and SewGreen have also created an arts space that can accommodate community events, workshops, art shows and events. The first art show to debut in the space will be abstract drawings by Wendy Skinner, founder and director of SewGreen.
>
> Join the party this coming Friday at The Art and Found, 112 N Cayuga Street, 5 to 8 pm, to celebrate Wendy’s and Olivia’s collaborative vision for local sustainable enterprise. Our other next-door neighbor, the Bandwagon Brewpub, is hosting tastings of their locally made beers. There will be refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages, as well.
