Instead of paying for leaf pickup, bring your CLEAN** bagged leaves (residential leaves only, no branches or other yard waste) to CCE-Tompkins during the 12-day drop off period from Monday, November 7 through Saturday, November 19. Gardeners and composters may come on Saturday, November 19 from 10:00am–1:00pm and take leaves to mulch beds and to use as "browns" for your compost piles.Master Composters will be on hand to teach composting, and in particular how to use leaves over the winter for better compost. Households may take home five gallons (bring your own container!) of free, sifted compost while supplies last!
