> April 19th: Plumbing Basics and Household Moisture issues
> May 3rd: Window and screen repair and Trim basics
> Start your spring off right by registering for our 7th annual Women Build Weekend event, taking placeMay 12th and 13th at our build site on Morris Avenue and Third Street in Ithaca.  Join us for two days of women-powered community building, power tool and construction training (women-lead, of course), empowerment and Habitat home construction.  Register today to reserve your spot!  Even better, create a personal fundraising page and invite your friends and family to donate in your honor, helping us reach our $20,000 fundraising goal.  We’re also recruiting build teams, so gather up your co-workers, friends or family!

> Our Women Build Committee will be gathering immediately before each Lowes training session, at 5:00 PM, to discuss Women Build Weekend planning, construction activities, fundraising and more.  If you’d like to get involved beyond the construction site, join us!  We’re always welcoming new committee members and you can commit to as much or as little involvement as you like.
> Habitat’s Women Build program invites all females to learn and practice construction skills in a welcoming, friendly, positive environment.  Our training sessions are hands-on and last approximately one hour, enough time to test the tools and ask lots of questions without taking up your entire evening.  We hope participants will put their skills to good use by volunteering on a Habitat job site, making a difference by helping us construct decent, affordable homes right here in our community.   Girls ages 14 and up are also welcome to join in at Lowes, or during Women Build Weekend!
