My daughter Tia and I have volunteered to build or plant gardens for Wild Things Sanctuary. The space is largely shaded, so I am looking for advice on what to plant (and how to get it cheap or free) and donations of plants. I am willing to come and dig them up!
It's where hurt and abandoned wildlife are nursed back to health before being released back to the wild. Victoria, the rehabilitationist, is an amazing woman of infinite passion and commitment to all of the animals. Right now she is caring for over twenty animals, including babies who need around-the-clock care. At the moment, Wild Things is just breaking even - and Victoria is doing this out of love with no compensation. I hope to help change that, but for now what i know I can do is plant a garden! Thank you in advance!
Check out her website! She presented a workshop for Tia's eleventh birthday on all the animals that have come to Wild Things and what to do if you find a wild animal or are worried about one. You can be a hero! Check out the website and blog.
