Its extent and severity is often hidden from the minds of our government officials and community decision makers. To help inform the people who set policy and to educate the public about these issues, the <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1286817594_7">Tompkins County Workers' Center</span> is collaborating with <span style="cursor: pointer; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent;" class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1286817594_8">Cornell University Professor</span> of Development Sociology, Tom Hirschl, to better recover information and get the word out via an online survey (which the Workers' Center is also using by going to places where people congregate whose economic human rights are most likely being violated).
