Supported by federal transportation funds through Tompkins<br>County's Coordinated Transportation Plan, the *Easy Access Plan* is a core<br>component of a larger project to broaden Ithaca Carshare's reach to parts of<br>our community that we would like to see benefiting more from affordable<br>access to reliable transportation.<br> <br>Income-eligible local residents pay $10 and get $15 in driving credit each<br>month. On this plan, like our existing *It's My Car* plan, usage is $4.95 an<br>hour and $0.20 a mile for any Ithaca Carshare car or truck. Application fees<br>are waived and any unused credits roll over indefinitely. This covers<br>gasoline, insurance, maintenance, and roadside assistance. Compared against<br>the expenses of car ownership ($5,000-8,000/year), Ithaca Carshare can be a<br>very reasonable and reliable transportation option for most trips. Members<br>without credit or debit cards can make payments using cash/check/money<br>order/Ithaca Hours at Alternatives Credit Union.<br> <br>Individuals who are eligible for Medicaid, Family Health Plus, food stamps,<br>or free or reduced price school lunch or who meet an income guideline of no<br>more than 150% of the federal poverty level, are eligible for this program.<br>Our current funding will support 50 participants for one year.<br> <br>Ithaca Carshare also offers discounted organizational memberships to<br>non-profit organizations and agencies.
