It was a bit hard to think about gardening with the cold spring we have been having, but we gave it a good shot.<br> <br>Here are the highlights:<br> <br>The Plant Sale normally at Ithaca High School (at Stewart Park last year) will be held at the NYS Armory, 1765 Hanshaw Rd, off Rt. 13. There is a bus stop nearby. The date this year is Sat May 14, 9am -1pm. This sale is sponsored by the Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County Master Gardeners.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="http://ccetompkins.org">http://ccetompkins.org</a><br>The Fall Creek Garden Collective will have a table there with info about our tour to hand out. We need a few more volunteers to man the table so if you plan to go and would like to help out, let me know.<br> <br>The ninth annual Fall Creek Garden Tour will be held on Sunday, June 12, 11am-3pm this year. We are looking for gardens to be on the tour. Since last year we concentrated on the south end of the Fall Creek neighborhood, this year we are proposing to concentrate on the north end. But it may depend on the gardeners who volunteer. So if you would like to volunteer your garden or your neighbor's garden, let us know. We would like to recruit early enough so the gardeners have time to 'spruce up' their gardens.<br> <br>The garden tour is a very popular event in Ithaca and really is a delightful time. Put the date on your calendar and plan to come.<br>We will also need lots of volunteers to make this event successful.
