Five Danby families raised their own meat and donated some roasters to a local food bank.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%"><span style="color:black">Sustainable Tompkins is eager to support more projects like these and is calling on local citizens and grassroots groups to submit applications by September 1, 2011. </span></p><div style=""><span style="font-family:Times"> </span><br class="webkit-block-placeholder"></div><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%"><span style="color:black">Since 2008, Sustainable Tompkins has awarded </span>$24,000, for 59 neighborhood-based projects <span style="color:black">that continue to shape area communities, encouraging local self-reliance, strengthening neighborhood connections, and promoting long-term community well being. </span><span style="line-height:150%;font-family:Times">Suzanne Aigen of Aigen Financial Group makes this round of Neighborhood Mini Grants possible.
