GYSD Lead Agencies are local, regional, or statewide organizations across the United States, and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Ontario, or New Brunswick that lead GYSD in their city, region, or state. Lead Agencies convene a coalition of at least 10 partner organizations that collectively engage at least 600 youth volunteers in service on GYSD, engage local media and elected officials, and plan a high profile signature project or celebration of service. <p style="margin:0.5em 0pt;font-family:"Palatino Linotype",Palatino,Garamond,serif;font-size:12px">Lucas received his first hearing device from the Starkey Hearing Foundation when he was four years old and since then, he has dedicated his life to sharing the gift of hearing with other children around the world. With the help of his mother, Lucas hosts four fundraisers a year to benefit the Foundation's work to provide hearing aids to children around the world. Since 2007, Lucas has managed to raise a total of $22,000 for the Starkey Hearing Foundation so that others can experience the miracle of hearing.</p>
