People don't know that the Town of Lansing HAS real options beyond repowering or the full impact a repowering would have on the environment and NYSEG rate-payers. <br> <br></div><div>That is why there will be a <i>comprehensive</i> Informational Session about the Plant tomorrow at <b>7pm</b> at the <b>Unitarian Church of Ithaca</b> (<span class=""><span class="">306 N Aurora St</span>). At this session we will cover how to submit <i><b>informed public comments. </b></i>Refreshments will be provided and there will be a Q&A following the session. <br> <br></span></div><div><span class=""><b>IF </b>you haven't been following the issue closely, or have only been receiving information from advocates of the repowering, <b>please come</b>. You will learn about the history of the plant, the current proposal to either repower the plant or have transmission upgrades, where our energy will come from if we don't repower, alternatives for the Town of Lansing and <b>other crucial information about the plant. <br> <br></b></span></div><div><span class="">After the informational session, you will have until <b>August 16th </b>to<b> <font size="4">submit public comments</font>. </b>There will also be a<b> <font size="4">public hearing</font> </b>that </span><br> will be on<b> Monday, July 29th at 7pm </b>(following an informational session which starts at 6). <b>The hearing will be held at the Lansing Middle School Auditorium, 6 Ludlowville Road Lansing, New York 14882.</b><span style="letter-spacing:0px"><br> <br></span><div><span style="letter-spacing:0px">If you can't attend tomorrow's session but are still interested in writing a comment,</span> A full video of the event will also be put up on Shaleshock Media sometime early next week.
