In both roles, proficiency using computers and a smart phone is required. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are necessary. Familiarity with the Ithaca area and basic vehicle troubleshooting (jumping batteries, changing tires) skills are also strongly preferred.</span></p><p class="" style="margin-bottom:6pt"><b><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Fleet Management duties:</span></b><span style="font-size:9pt;font-family:Verdana,sans-serif"><br></span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif">You’ll be taking care of Ithaca Carshare’s fleet (24 vehicles and growing), making sure the vehicles are clean and well maintained. You’ll have a great crew of member volunteers to help you achieve this goal. In this on-the-go position, time and task management skills are essential for efficiency. Good judgment, DIY fix-it and strong communication skills are also key. You may be involved with handling damage and claims, vehicle sales and purchasing, parking spaces, and fleet data analysis. This is a physical job: ability to shovel heavy snow and comfort getting around town by bike, bus, or foot in all weather are necessary.</span></p><p class="" style="margin-bottom:6pt"><b><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Member Services duties:</span></b><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><br>You’ll be answering phones, processing applications, handling reservations and minor vehicle issues, fielding questions about Ithaca Carshare’s service, and other job activities as necessary. Ability to communicate confidently with our members and problem solve quickly is essential.</span></p><p class="" style="margin-bottom:6pt"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Most on-call work can be performed from home <b>within cell service range</b> (a smartphone for work duties is provided). Starting pay is $12.78 per hour, and benefits include health insurance, an Ithaca Carshare membership, and a TCAT bus pass.
