baseline;">I’m teaching a course at Cornell this Spring called
Intermediate Web Programming. For a final project, groups of
3-4 students will need to make a website for a “client.”
We’ve created an online form to give you an opportunity to be
a client and make an appeal to the students to create a
website (new or replacement) for your organization or a
project within your organization. I can’t guarantee that your
project will be chosen by any of the groups. We’ll have about
50 groups looking for clients. I don’t know how many
prospective client appeals we’ll receive. Feel free to pass
this invitation on. We’ll close down the online form when we
can’t accept any more requests. </span></div>

baseline;">To guide your expectations, you should know a few
things. </span></div>

available to meet with the students in late March / early
April. Ideally, this would be in person and that probably
means meeting someplace on the Cornell campus. You’ll
also need to be available to communicate with the students
as the project develops in April through their deadline in
early May. Students may occasionally contact you during
that time, please anticipate the communications and reply
to them in a timely manner.</span></div>

students have roughly a month to complete this as well as
work in their other courses. They can't take on anything
too complex. They will be able to discuss this with you.</span></div>

Constraints:</span><span style="vertical-align: baseline;">
Although you are the client and part of the experience is
working for you, the students will be graded on how well
they can demonstrate use of the concepts they have been
learning in class. They may need to negotiate some of the
site features with you to achieve this. </span></div>

font-family: Arial; vertical-align: baseline;"><div style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt; "><span style="font-weight: bold; vertical-align: baseline;">Hosting:</span><span style="vertical-align: baseline;"> During development and
through grading in May, the site will be hosted on our
course server. After that, if you like the site enough,
it will require a means of hosting. The students can help
with this. If you need a hosting arrangement, you can
expect to pay $10 - $20 per month.</span></div>
