years as the area’s only provider of free, integrated medical services to the
uninsured and underinsured, the Ithaca Health Alliance<b> </b>invites community residents to celebrate its flagship program, the
Ithaca Free Clinic. Family-oriented festivities are scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30
p.m.<b> </b>Wednesday, August 17,<b> </b>at the Clinic’s offices at 521 West
Seneca Street in Ithaca.</font></p><p><font face="times new roman, serif">The celebration
will highlight the close relationship between the agency and its more than 120
volunteers, featuring live music, a children’s tent with games and activities, meet-the-provider
stations, clinic tours, refreshments, and a special birthday cake.</font></p><p><font face="times new roman, serif">Ithaca Health
Alliance Executive Director Norb McCloskey said: <span class=""><ins cite="mailto:Jane%20Baker%20Segelken" datetime="2016-08-05T13:44">“The Clinic’s
past and ongoing success is made possible by our dedicated volunteers and
community support. Thousands of members of our community have found a pathway
to health as a result of the services provided by the Free Clinic. There is
much to celebrate and we hope you will come and join in the festivities.”</ins></span></font></p><p><font face="times new roman, serif">Donating their
musical talents for the anniversary celebration are Mel & Sol<b> </b>and<b> </b>Five2<b>, </b>with sound equipment and
engineering provided by<b> </b>Ithaca Underground.<b> </b></font></p><p><font face="times new roman, serif">The repertoire
of Mel & Sol (David Frumkin and Will Fudeman on fiddle, mandolin and
guitar) ranges from Yiddish and Balkan
dance tunes to Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Lennon/McCartney, and the tango. Five2 is a striking
female vocal trio with the lush, three-part harmonies of Uniit Carruyo,
Charisse Lucente, and Yvette Lucente. Ithaca Underground is an all-volunteer
501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose goal is to nurture a sustainable,
all-ages (especially youth) supportive environment where music and art outside the
mainstream is encouraged and able to flourish.</font></p><p class="MsoNormal"><font face="times new roman, serif">The Ithaca
Health Alliance, founded in 1997, facilitates access to health care for all,
with a focus on the needs of the uninsured. The agency operates three programs:
the Ithaca Free Clinic, the Ithaca Health Fund, and Community Health Education.</font><font face="Times New Roman"></font></p>
