17th is the next sat and I'd suggest the last sat before xmas is a bad idea (I know I'll be away doing pre-xmas social stuff)

  About the No Borders public meeting: we need to get things and people booked and arranged. So, I propose:

  1. To hold the meeting on either Sat 6th Dec or Sat 13th Dec in the afternnon, say 2-4pm. These dates are best for Steve Cohen for all sorts of reasons. Anyone have any preference betewwen these 2 dates? Are there any other events happening at the same time which might clash with our meeting?

  2. In the absence of objections, to invite the Sheffield Committee to Defend Asylum Seekers (CDAS) to co-sponsor/co-organise the meeting, accepting that they would want a speaker at the meeting.

  3. To meet at the SADACCA community centre on The Wicker for the reasons I gave last time. Cost would be about £20-£30.

  4. That the meeting be named after Steve Cohen's new book "Deportation is Freedom! The Orwellian World of Immigration Controls" and that the invited speakers are: Steve Cohen, a representative from the Sukula Family Campaign from Bolton; a representative of the Iraqi Kurdish community (and a speaker from CDAS if they help organise the meeting).

  Unless I hear differently, I'll go ahead with this plan from Monday. OK?
